R.I.P. Steve Jobs [1955-2011]

It’s already 2010 and 2009 is so last year, but I want to go back to my 2009 new year’s resolution post to see how I did.

In my New Year’s Resolution for 2009 post, I listed my goals:

1. Keep my blogs updated (all my blogs: News Blog, tech blog, violin blog, showbiz news blog, earn money online/ personal blog and earn more money out of blogging

- Well some of it are still updated. DC is always updated of course but my tech and violin blogs are kinda ignored last year.

2. Study PHP and Code Igniter some more

- I did!

3. Go to the gym regularly and loose some 20 lbs

- Just recently, I enrolled to the gym. Let’s see if there will be some improvements this year.

4. Buy myself a new cellphone

- I think my iPhone 3G is enough.

5. Read my pocket books

- I’ve read some but the other ones were left unread.

6. Buy a new computer table and additional memory for my PC (Yes I know, I can’t afford a Mac)

- Yes I bought an extra 1GB for my Jurassic PC and gave my self a MacBook Pro.

7. Practice violin regularly

- This one, I failed badly! =(

8. Learn how to drive and get myself a non-pro license

- I got myself a Student’s license. That’s a start right?

9. Go to a blogging event at least twice this 2009

- I did!. I went to iBlog and WordCamp 2009.

10. Be a good boy! =)

- I think so, but Santa never gave me a present.

I did pretty well last year right? Now it’s time to make another wish/goal/resolution for 2010. I’ll keep it short this time.

My New Year’s Resolution for 2010

1. Have more time with my loved ones.

2. Update my blogs more often.

3. Learn how to drive and buy my own car. A second hand car is OK.

4. To have an SLR

5. Be a better man.

I have my own laptop at last. Thanks to my July AdSense earnings! I bought this just last week (August 1) and after 1 week of playing with it, I can say that this thing is the best!

Why?

• Battery life is awesome!

• It’s lightweight!

• OS X!

• It’s freakin stylish!

• According to US apple store, the price of 13-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1199 and I got it at almost the same price through an Apple authorized reseller. Bang for the buck!

13″ MacBook Pro: The Laptop that blogging bought

Now! I’m not a child anymore but that dream was still there and managed to evolve into a more difficult path.  It’s different now because I can now solve a 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube in under 2 minutes (with practice)! Yahoo! I have already solved the 4x4x4 Rubik’s Cube Revenge.  So, what’s next? off course, I have to take it to the next level and that is solving the 5x5x5 Rubik’s Cube Professor.  Yay!

Presenting the monster:

At the time of this writing, I have managed to solve the 5x5x5 rubik’s cube only once. haha! At least that’s a good start. The prerequisites of solving 5×5 cube is you have to know how to solve both the 3×3 and the 4×4 and a little bit of mind bending.

If you want to solve the 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube but you really have no clue, you can try to follow the steps here or try to find a video on YouTube. Dan Brown (Pogobat) uploaded a very good tutorial on How to solve the Rubik’s Cube. Good Luck!

5×5 Rubik’s cube professor!

I got it printed and my blogger cards looks nice! (at least for me ) If you are a blogger you need to have your own blogger/business card.

The card is a combination of the Daily Contributor business card and my personal blog Randy Marasigan dot com.

Blogger/Business Card #1 :

The design is an adaptation of my DC blog theme, using blue and black color.

Blogger/Business Card #2:

The other side: The design was pretty obvious, it’s a Google inspired blogger card. It literally means Just Google my name and you can find me. I placed my personal blog Randy Marasigan dot com just in case I get booted out on the first page of Google with my name as a keyword for any unfortunate reason. LOL!

I want to thank Tara again for this gift. It just started as a joke of some kind on my previous “Thank You Lijit” post.

Thank you so muh for the Shirt. I have gained some weight in the past weeks and the shirt is Medium (I’m a Large sized dude or  XL ), so I’m afraid I can’t wear it. I really do want to wear it but it will look ridiculous on me. LOL! I could give this to my sister and she will absolutely wear it.

Just a quick nonsense note: I have discovered that if you search the term “Thank you Lijit” on google, the number 1 on the list is my post. haha! Maybe I’m just the happiest blogger to have received Lijit stickers. LOL!

For those of you who wants to have an effective blog search tool for your blogs or even your own blog network, I really recommend Lijit search. Maybe I should blog about my Lijit review soon. hmmm…
